NYSED Disproportionality Training Workshop (2016)
Developed by Dr. Cate Crowley, the NYSED Disproportionality Training Workshop addresses the disproportionality of ELLs, including those from low-SES backgrounds, who have IEPs, and trains evaluators on culturally and linguistically appropriate school-age disability evaluations. The seminar reviews how to distinguish a disability from a difference, using unbiased assessment tools and methods.
